KSA licensing is layered — but manageable
Engineering and design firms face a stack of registration requirements that most formation advisors don't cover in full. We do.
MISA foreign investment license
Mandatory for any foreign-controlled professional services entity. Alpha handles the full filing.
Saudi Engineering Council
SEC registration is required for each engineering discipline. Engineers must meet KSA academic + experience criteria.
Technology transfer
Required for certain ISIC classes. Structured through your engagement letters — Alpha reviews the correct framing.
Saudization (Nitaqat)
Minimum Saudi national hiring quota. Your tier depends on headcount; Alpha helps you model the requirement before setup.
From decision to operational in 20 weeks
A four-phase sequence that runs MISA and SEC in parallel wherever possible to compress the timeline without cutting corners.
Typical 20-week timeline
Weeks 1–2
Eligibility review
We assess your activities, entity structure, and ownership mix against current MISA investment guidelines and SEC registration requirements.
Weeks 3–8
Entity & MISA license
Foreign investment license filing, commercial registration (CR), and bank account opening — with your Saudi Activities Appendix drafted to match your actual scope.
Weeks 4–12
SEC professional license
Saudi Engineering Council registration for each engineering discipline you practice. Runs in parallel with MISA to compress the overall timeline.
Weeks 14–20
Operations go-live
Saudization (Nitaqat) plan, GOSI and ZATCA registration, Qiwa workforce platform setup, and handover to your in-country team.
